1 + 1 Makes 3 (Plus a Frog Dog and a Good Kitty)!

We had our ultrasound appointment today at 12:30, and it's a BOY!

We saw all of his parts, and everything looks perfect. His spine, lips, heart, eyes, arms, legs, feet, fingers, brain, stomach, blood flow... I could go on and on. The ultrasound tech, Linda, was extremely thorough. She could even tell that he can swallow properly. That is amazing to me.

He weighs 9 ounces right now. His heart rate was 155. At first he wasn't moving very much because he was all cuddled up on his stomach with his arms and legs tucked under him and his head face down ON MY BLADDER. I think this must be his favorite position because even though I haven't felt any movements yet that I've been able to say, "That's definitely baby," my bladder hurts all the time. So it must be him pounding away! We even saw him move his fist and punch my bladder once.

Linda started poking my stomach to get him to move around so she could look at everything, and after that, he pretty much moved the whole time. (I'll let Xon tell you how he knew it was a boy a split second before Linda said anything.) She got VERY excited when Baby spread his legs, and she said, "Oh my goodness!" I had been saying something to Xon, but I immediately jerked my head around to look at her. Her eyes were very big, and she said, "We have a boy!" And even though I'm not used to looking at ultrasounds, I could see that it was really obvious.

All this time, people have been saying they thought it was a girl because I had such a bad case of morning sickness. But, as Xondervan pointed out, none of us ever thought that it could just be a LITTLE XON in there going crazy. ;-) Indeed!

I just can't believe this day finally came. Wow! I am really excited that I will have my own little Alex, that Alex will have a buddy to run around with (oh, the trouble they will get into), and that my little Hannah June will have a big brother when I have her.
