16 Weeks
Babykins is about the size of an avocado today. 24 weeks to go!
So far I haven't had any cravings--except for one day a while back I wanted red grapes, grape Kool-Aid, and grape popsicles. Though I've been on the "all fruit diet" for the past 8 weeks, I'm now able to eat a few more things--including some meat! This is good, because as Xon says, "we want to build Baby's brain!" I can drink water again. I also particularly like sour things--like sour candy, cranberry juice, pickles... Not all together, of course! ;-)
For Thanksgiving, we went to my mom's house, and I got to spend lots of quality time with Baby Alex. I love quizzing him on his "tricks." Asking him how all the animals go, asking where his hair is, where his belly is, who certain people are. It is great fun watching him learn new things. He turned one year old on Tuesday, so we got to have a birthday party while I was there. This time last year, I was back in Athens after having been at his birth in MN, and I was saying to myself, "I thought my sister was literally going to explode into a million pieces during labor. I can never have kids!"
Ah, how soon we forget...
I have been taking Casey on 20-minute walks to ease back into exercising. It feels like spring here right now, so it has been really nice. I am so glad to be active again!
I may have felt Babykins move last night, but I'm not sure yet. I was sitting on the couch poking my tummy, and it felt like something rolled over on my left side. We'll see if Babykins makes his/her presence known more definitely in the next few weeks.
