18 Weeks

We're at 18 weeks. 22 to go!

Babykins is about 5 1/2 inches long now and weighs around 7 ounces. Just a few more days, and I'll hopefully be able to call Babykins a he or she. Auntie D doesn't know if she can wait!!!! I remember when I went with Dawn and Erich to their ultrasound, the doctor said there was no doubt it was a boy because Alex was "really strutting his stuff." :-) We'll also start our childbirth class in about 3 weeks.

I ran out of my prenatal vitamins without iron, so since I've been feeling better, I thought I would try switching back to the vitamins with iron. I've taken them 6 nights, and so far, so good.

I feel like I got a lot done this past weekend--compared to the past 17 weeks anyway. We thoroughly cleaned the living room, decorated a bunch for Christmas (including hanging a stocking for Alex in the shape of an elf's foot), and I got halfway through recovering a chair. I also enjoy going out and doing things now that I'm in the 2nd trimester "happiness."

At our small group last night, a girl wanted to do the "ring test" on my belly to see if we're having a boy or girl. The tale says that if the ring moves in a circular motion, it will be a girl. If it swings back and forth, a boy is on the way. It moved in a circle for me. I told Xon last night, it would be nice to have another girl in the house. I am surrounded by boys! (Hubby, dog, cat...) I guess we'll see for sure in about a week!
