16 Weeks Old

Well, the past week was HUGE for us!

Xon passed his prospectus defense, which was a big step in getting his PH.D.

Lovey and I went to Dawn's house for her ultrasound, and she found out she's having a girl. Little Lydia... Erich already calls her "Daddy's little girl" and says they must take extra good care of her. :-) We bought some purple outfits for her as soon as we left the ultrasound, and that's how we told Mom that it is a girl. (Mom stayed at Dawn's house during the ultrasound to babysit Alex.)

Alex can say Bradley's name. He basically just has a regular vocabulary now. It's funny to have an actual conversation with him.

Bradley got his second tooth while we were at Dawn's. This time his mouth really bothered him, so I'm hoping they just keep on coming so we get them all over with quickly. :-)

Bradley grabs his caterpillar rattle (He LOVES his caterpillar rattle. I think b/c it looks like polka dots, and he loves anything with polka dots... The picture of him smiling really big in his car seat is b/c he is looking at his caterpillar rattle.) and the monkey on his bouncy seat and tries to put them in his mouth. He also grabs your hand and tries to put that in his mouth every chance he gets!

Did I mention that he REALLY likes to be standing up so he can see everything that's going on??!!

I love putting him to sleep when he's looking up at me with those big Disney eyes. Priceless.

The other day I was holding him while I was rinsing a cup in the sink. I was tired, so I wasn't paying attention to him, but I finally noticed he was giggling about something. He thought it was hilarious when I dumped the water out of the cup into the sink. He also giggled when I sang a Spanish song to him.
