11 Weeks Old

Bradley is now 11 weeks. I packed away his 0-3 month clothes. He blows spit bubbles and laughs when he hears someone else laugh. That is priceless. He smiles all the time. One time he was sleeping on my stomach. When he woke up and looked up at me, a big smile lit up his face. That was sweet. :-) He sleeps on his side, stomach, and back, and switches positions regularly.

He still sleeps well at night, though it's not consistent. He will sleep anywhere from 4-7 hours at a stretch. It is different every night. He usually wants to go to bed anywhere from 8-9 p.m. The past couple of days he has woken up from his nap after a half hour. I have been able to put him back to sleep pretty easily--except for yesterday. He hardly slept at all yesterday. Then he slept great last night, but I couldn't sleep a wink! Go figure. :-) I happened to look at www.babycenter.com, and the article on the home page was "Does your baby wake up from his nap after a half hour?" :-) The article said a half hour is the end of their first sleep cycle, and many babies can't put themselves back to sleep after that. So you have to help them out. Usually I just sit down and stick a pacifier in Bradley's mouth, and he goes to sleep, so hopefully that trend will continue and yesterday was not a sign of things to come...

Lovey and I took Bradley to the tea room for lunch, where all the older ladies swooned over him. :-)

He went on his first boat ride this past weekend. I don't think he enjoyed it much b/c the life jacket was huge, but that's just how life jackets are with babies so small. I do think he enjoyed the breeze and being outside all day. We slathered him with sunscreen (even in his hair), and kept him in the shade pretty much the whole time.

Alex ADORES Bradley and gives him lots of kisses!!!!! He says "baby" over and over. This is good, b/c he will have a sibling pretty soon! :-) Alex puts words together now. If I'm feeding Bradley, he says, "Baby eat." He loves to say "John Deere tractor." ;-) (You can tell what he's into lately...) We sure do have a cute little bunch!
