11 Weeks
This week has really flown by. I can't believe I am 11 weeks already! I'm sure my weekend visitors helped distract me. And I may have some more visitors coming this weekend to help ease me down the home stretch to the big 12 WEEKS!!!!! My first goal since I found out I was pregnant was to make it to 12 weeks, and I am almost there. WOO HOO!!!!
Things are rolling right along. Soon I will be able to tell work people my big news. I can look forward to finding out the gender in December. I should start feeling better and be able to eat regular food. I can register. We'll have Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to. All kinds of good stuff!
My mom got some maternity clothes for me off ebay, and the first package arrived yesterday. A pair of jeans with the cutest back pockets and a blue dress shirt for work. I'm wearing the jeans today. Let me just tell you, I LOVE elastic waists! They are truly a wonderful invention. ;-)
In baby development news, today Babykins is fully formed and the size of a fig (1 1/2 inches long, weighing in at a quarter of an ounce). He/she is moving all around in there and may start getting the hiccups this week as the diaphragm develops. I should be able to feel some movement in a few more weeks.
When my parents came to visit, they brought some goodies from my Aunt Joyce and Cousin Tammy. How fun! I love seeing how excited people get about me being pregnant and seeing how much they already love this little 11-week-old fig. :-) One of the presents was a little basket filled with all kinds of baby lotions and powders and a rubber ducky to match Alex's. The other was a book called God Sees Our Pets. I just love baby books. This one is particularly adorable as my family has no shortage of pets for Babykins to love! Thank you, Aunt Joyce and Tammy!!

Well, no one is around today because it's Fall Break, so I am sitting in the office listening to my Asbury Concert Choir CD and sipping on some decaf hot tea that Xondervan brought me. It should be a very quiet, relaxing day! I hope it is for you, too!
