35 Weeks

35 weeks along. 5 to go!

Bradley should be a little over 18 inches long and a little over 5 pounds now. His kidneys are fully developed, and he is getting pretty snug in there! I asked my nurse on Wednesday if she notices that babies tend to favor one side of your stomach. She said yes, and it's usually the right side. That's EXACTLY where my lil' guy likes to be! I wonder what is so great about the right side.

LaVonda threw a shower for us on Saturday, April 14th. We were overwhelmed by the amount of goodies we got for Bradley. We got: a crib sheet/blanket/& a onesie and blanket with Bradley's name on it, a sort of portable crib thing for him to sleep in/bottle brush/travel pack of shampoo, etc., blanket/burp cloths/doll, a onesie with a little jacket and pair of pants, an infant gown and overall outfit with a little cap, a changing pad/swimming trunks/sunglasses/hat/bib/puppet bath mitt, a baby sling, a UK jersey :-), socks and a plate with Bradley's name on it, a baby food processor, and some money which I used to buy some more cloth diapers. WHEW! I will post some pics as soon as I get them. Just a few more things to get, and we should have all the basics!

My mom, sister, nephew, and cousin Tammy were all able to come down for the shower. (Alex flirted with my friend Ashley while we were opening presents. He doesn't see many people with blond hair, so I guess he thought she was pretty special. :-) ) We had loads of fun while they were here, although we didn't get to play Pictionary like we had planned. :-( We got a little workbench for Alex, and he loved playing with all the tools. He called the hammer "hammy," and he called Tammy "Maam." Xon's mom and her friend Bev also came for the shower, so we all went to eat at Cracker Barrell afterward.
