Heeeeeere's Babykins!

I had my first Dr. appointment this morning and saw a tiny heartbeat!!!! We couldn't hear it yet, but we could see it on the ultrasound screen. It sped up at the end. :-)

We weren't sure if we would be able to see a heartbeat this early, so Xon and his mom got really excited when we finally saw it. When the Dr. first started the exam, I thought for a split second that she might tell me there was no baby in there, but sure enough, there was. :-)

Babykins is 4 mm long. I am 6 weeks and 3 days as of today, and I'm due May 18th. So far, I'm feeling super duper! I have been extremely hungry (especially in the mornings), but I haven't eaten anything unhealthy, so I think that's ok for now. The Dr. said if I eat a little more protein it will sustain me a little longer. But she said she ate macaroni and cheese and oreos and gained a ton of weight, so I am doing really well!

I go back in two weeks to have another ultrasound. The Dr. said Babykins would look completely different then. I'll also have some bloodwork and have a more detailed exam. Then I'll have monthly visits, but I won't have another ultrasound until around 5 months.
