6 Weeks

The host of our small group is an OB/GYN, so he answered a few of my questions last Wednesday. Such as....When is my due date??!! Most people do not know when they conceived, so the Dr. will count from the first day of your last cycle. That adds a couple of weeks to your pregnancy. So while I am technically only 4 weeks pregnant, they would count me as 7. However, my cycle is a week longer than the average, so that takes a week off. So...they will actually count me as 6 weeks along. (Or something like that...)

Confusing, huh? I remember having this conversation with my sister over e-mail when she was trying to figure out how far along the Dr. would say she was. There are a few different ways to count it, but this is the most common, I think. So for those of you wondering how I could be 6 weeks pregnant when Xon has only been home for 5 weeks, that's how. ;-)

Anyway, all this means I am 6 weeks today, and my due date should be May 17th! :-) They will confirm this at my appointment on Friday, so I'll keep ya posted. :-)

I feel great and am keeping my fingers crossed that I can skip the whole morning sickness thing. :-)
